Cool

I love any cartoon that pairs up the voice talents of Daws Butler and Don Messick so my vote goes to Auggie Doggie and Doggie Daddy.

Although he's technically a dinosuar, I like Dino. He acts enough like a dog to qualify.

Aside from human-type dogs (e.g., Huckleberry Hound, Hong Kong Phooey),
I always liked Quick Draw McGraw's biscuit-eating dog, Snuffles! Those dog
biscuits really turned him on! (LOL) He was voiced by Daws Butler.

I also liked Yowp, the hunting dog (voiced by Don Messick).

And, speaking of Messick, Don voiced a LOT of Hanna-Barbera dogs who
shared the same snickering laugh (introduced in a Huckleberry Hound cartoon
in which Huck was a postman): Precious Pupp, Mugger (in the feature film
"Hey There, It's Yogi Bear"), Muttley, and Mumbley.

Then there was Astro (Messick again), who I've always suspected was an ancestor of Scooby-Doo! They both spoke but had a tendency to put an "r"
in front of everything!

(Or should that be the other way around? Since The Jetsons is set in the future, maybe Astro
is descended from Scooby-Doo!)

Another dog that would have many appearances is The Sheepdog from a few Loopy de Loop cartoons such as "Watcha Watchin?" where Loopy tries to wake-up The Sheepdog, "Just a Wolf at Heart" where Loopy takes a lamb for a she-wolf that he falls in love with, and "Sheep-Stealers Anonymous" where Loopy, A Wolf, and The Sheepdog just give-up on sheeps.

There's probably a few more with The Sheepdog, and I may add a few vids where The Sheepdog from the Loopy de Loop cartoons appear.

Gee, I haven't seen those Season One episodes in decades. I'd love to see
one again. Even without any super powers, they were interesting characters.

Other H-B dogs include: Reddy, Yippee, Yappee & Yahooey, and Goober (to
name a few). Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera definitely loved dogs! They even
made a live-action movie starring a robotic dog ("C.H.O.M.P.S.")!
