The way I see it, the first two albums were very good. Next came Sound Magazine, the Partridge fad was at it's peak with this near perfect pop album. Then the Christmas LP came out, a fair to average effort, some good tunes but mostly a disappointment and the writing was on the wall. Then came the Shopping Bag LP, another lackluster album and it kept going downhill from there and forward.

The albums overall are great - much better than they should be. Crossword Puzzle and Notebook are the weak ones IMO. I thought Bulletin Board was a pretty strong finish for how these things were put together. Great catalog of pop music.
