The theme to "The Archie Comedy Hour" was not similar to the theme of "The Archie Show" at all. If you have ever seen the theme to the prime-time special "Archie & His New Pals," then you have seen 90% of the theme to "The Archie Comedy Hour." "Comedy Hour" used the same theme with some slight modifications made to it, including a section between the two versions that went... "featuring Sabrina, the Teenage Witch... S.A.B.R.I.N.A... the teenage witch." At the end of the second verse, "it's The Archie Comedy Hour" was shouted out instead of "Archie & His New Pals".

It would be great to see all of these Archie cartoons get released to DVD in their entirety... I know some have been released, but I don't think all of them are available yet. (I'm a longtime fan of Archie Comics- I love Archie and the gang!)

Most, but not all, of the Filmation "Archie" series have been released on home video. The 1968 show "The Archie Show" has been released in its entirety in a DVD boxset. The 1969 show "The Archie Comedy Hour" has never been released in it's original form, and probably never will. However, most parts of it have been released in different boxsets. The Sabrina segments of "Comedy Hour" were later shown in the Sabrina TV Series and included in the Sabrina boxset. "Some" of the funhouse and side-show segments from "Comedy Hour" were included as "bonus" segments in the "Archie's Funhouse" DVD boxset. Except for "Sugar, Sugar" and "Jingle Jangle", the song segments from "Comedy Hour" have become lost over the years. They are no longer included in the Filmation archives. 1970's 30-minute version of "Archie's Funhouse" has been released as a DVD boxset. 1970's hour-long show "Sabrina & The Groovie Goolies", like "Comedy Hour" was broken apart over the years with different parts showing up in different shows. As a result, the Goolie only parts are included in the "Groovie Goolies" DVD boxset, while the Sabrina & Goolies together segments are included in the Sabrina DVD boxset. 1971's "Archie's TV Funnies", to my knowledge, has never been released in its entirety in a DVD boxset, and neither has 1974's "The U.S. of Archie". Shows from both series have been included as "Bonus" material in other releases, but a complete series boxset of neither show has been released. 1977's "The New Archie / Sabrina Hour" was later broadcast into 2 separate 30-minute shows... "Super Witch staring Sabrina", and the "Archie Bang-Shang-A-Loolapalooza Show". These were later put into syndication as "The Archie / Sabrina Surprise Package", and THAT version of the show has been released in a complete (minus the musical numbers from the hour-long version) DVD boxset in Australia. It has not been released in a complete boxset in the USA, but individual shows from the series have shown up as "Bonus" material in other boxsets and compilation DVDs. That pretty much covers all of the Filmation "Archie" related series. 1973's "Everything's Archie" show was just a re-run show of material from "Comedy Hour" cut-down into a 30-minute format. "TV-Funnies" ran for two years (1971/72), and "U.S. of Archie" also ran for 2 years (1974/75). The entire Filmation library of Archie related shows was put into syndication in 1976 as "The Archies" in a 30-minute format and ran for either 2 or 3 years (did not include the show from 1977). Hope all this helps.

WOW! That's great! Thanks so much for all the info. And to add to the list of Archie on TV, the 1988 cartoon "The New Archies" has not been released to DVD yet (but it did get a few VHS releases), but the 1999-2000 cartoon "Archie's Weird Mysteries" has been released to DVD in a complete series set. The follow-up movie "The Archies in Jugman" was also released to DVD. And the 1990 "Archie: Return to Riverdale" live action TV-movie has been released to VHS. And the 2001 movie "Josie and The Pussycats" got both a VHS and DVD release. And both the 1970s cartoon "Josie and The Pussycats" and the spinoff cartoon "Josie and The Pussycats in Outer Space" have been released in their entirety to DVD. And the 1964 "Archie" pilot has not been released to VHS or DVD that I know of. (This one is pretty readily available on Youtube though. I've also seen it on Ebay and other places.) And "The Archie Situation Comedy Musical Variety Show" live action TV-movie from 1978 definitely has not gotten any VHS or DVD release that I know about. (But I did manage to find some video footage of this online a while back- http://blip.tv/history-of-comics-on-...of-053-5953380) And "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" (the Melissa Joan Hart live action series) got released to DVD in its entirety. (The "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" pilot TV-movie from 1996 has been released to VHS and DVD.) The TV-movie "Sabrina Goes to Rome" was included on the Season 7 DVD set. Unfortunately, the follow-up TV-movie, "Sabrina Down Under" was not released on any of the DVD sets. However, it was released on VHS- in Germany. (http://www.amazon.de/Sabrina-Down-Un...%2C+Down+Under) Supposedly there is a live action movie based on the "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" TV series in the works, but no word on whether Melissa Joan Hart will resume her role in it.
