January 3 is right around the corner – not long to go before Pretty Little Liars is back! I work with ABC Family, and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the all-new season. So much happened where we left off last season – do you think Hanna is ok? And who was driving the car? And what happened to Toby – do you think he’s in jail? Also, do you think Hanna’s mom will get caught after she stole the money? Any thoughts on the future of the girls’ romantic relationships? Seriously, SO much could happen – guess you’ll have to tune-in on Monday, January 3 at 8/7c to find out! Don’t forget to watch the latest promos and sneak peeks on our site!

I have seen the mid-season premiere. It is great. I'll tell you this...she doesn't have amnesia.

I'm really looking forward to it. Although most shows like this I tend to hate or call "girly" or "crappy," I find this one actually is very well-done. This is sort of underrated and would have much wider recognition if it was on one of the broadcast networks and I believe it's definitely better than many of the shows currently on ABC, CBS, etc. The cliffhangers are just so addictive and, although the target audience is females 18-34 (and maybe a bit younger too), I think the fact that it's a murder mystery and the gorgeous girls makes it as much a "guy show" as it is a "girl show" if you know what I mean. |

I was definitely hooked after the first episode of PLL! I cannot wait to see what really happens. I really want to know who A is but at the same time, I love the mystery of it all. I guess we will all find out sooner or later because the series returns tonight at 7:58/6:58c, that’s a 2 minute early start, so you don’t want to miss it! I’ll be back to keep you posted on all the Pretty Little Liars’ latest happenings, but you can always get additional info right here.

Random thoughts: -Hanna's mom is such a hypocrit. Steals, and then lies about stealing all that money after making such a deal to Hanna about the sunglasses in the first or second episode. -I really like the Lucas character. I hope, and think, he's going to get together with Hanna. She clearly has a little bit of a thing for him but is sort of wanting to be faithful to Sean. -Noel Kahn is A. Ugh. Wasn't a fan of that one. I just hope some of these secrets and things get resolved before fans, in general, get tired of the producers keeping on playing with the viewers with things like that. During that commercial break, I was just like..no? He for sure can't be A. What the hell is this haha. Sort of a bummer that he's most likely not A and just wanted to play some sort of stupid prank on the girls. Good eye by Hanna though! It was pretty dark to recognize hooded guys in a forest lol. -I realized the car that Fitz drove wasn't the same as the one to hit into Hanna so there went that theory. -That scene where Noel is hiding behind the corridor in the school as Fitz leaves is just so random like clearly he's just jealous that he's losing Aria to a teacher. Producers are trying to over-dramatize every little plot twist - or twisting things that don't need to be twisted. -Dream sequence with Ali was very interesting. I liked her line that "the four of you together know what happened." That was very well done, in my opinion. -The thing with the tree being cut down was sort of ridiculous. Like who is going around cutting trees haha and then seeing it in that fire towards the end. So annoying to not know who A is by now. Too much intrigue. -Back to the beginning, the guy driving the car somehow smashed it or just left it randomly (!?) before running off. Clearly, the cops should get on this. -It was hard to watch those scenes with Emily's parents. I just hate both those characters and thought that was a waste of a few minutes. They're very obnoxious and over the top. -2 things that are now more in the open: 1) Aria's relationship with Fitz all the girls now know about and 2) Emily's sexuality known to her friends and parents -Melissa marrying Ian was sort of crazy and weird. I feel like Melissa knows something or there's somethign weird going on with those two. Ian's connection to Ali and Spencer's connection to both Melissa and Ian make this awkward and I'm wondering if Melissa telling Spencer "maybe Ali's dead because she played too many games" in episode 8 or 9 maybe is somehow related to some info she knows. -Finally, to end my ramble, the A message on Hanna's cast was unexpected and added some intrigue. Have to say, it seems like A might be Lucas which was someone who I was suspecting from the beginning with the muddy shoes and then with his computer skills he could be capable of pulling all this off and clearly was not a fan of Ali. However, definitely seems A and the killer are not the same person. The message "sorry for losing my temper" could be interpreted in one of two ways "sorry, for driving over you with the car" (unknown person, maybe Lucas) or "sorry for getting angry with you and storming out of the hospital room after you said you weren't interested in me romantically (Lucas). What do you guys think? |

I'veen watching PLL since day 1 & I agree that the winter premiere was good, but not amazing. I do like Aria's longer hair. I like Laura Leighton since I'm a HUGE Melrose Place fan & I liked Charmed so also glad to see Holly Marie Combs. Not to break up a marriage, but I kind of like Laura Leighton & Chad Lowe together as a couple, which coincidentally are the same two actors who got together in Melrose Place briefly.

I don’t know about you guys but I LOVED the winter premiere. I got so excited to learn the identity of A, but then realized it was only a coincidence! And then Emily telling her father the truth! Wow, what drama! What did everybody else think of it? What do you suspect will happen in the next episode?

I dont think that Noel is really A. I read somewhere that Noel's goal is to be a pain to Ezra so I don't think Noel is A.

So, if Noel is eliminated as A, who is left? How do you all feel about the Aria/Noel/Ezra relationship? What do you think could happen between all of them?

As for Aria/Noel/Ezra, maybe I'm in the minority on this, but I really couldn't care less who she ends up with. To me, all the secrets and finding out the identity of A and the killer is what drives this show. All of the other little relationships like Hanna and Sean, Emily and Maya, Spencer and Alex, are just sort of side issues to distract us - and do a good of it, I must say - but if either of these couples were to break up, I don't think fans would uproar. That's what makes this show special - the fact that it's based on the secrets first and relationships sort of second. Most teen dramas are only relationships but PLL takes it one step further, in the right direction. |

It’s just so amazing how A knows what’s going on with EVERYBODY! How does A even do that without giving away his or her identity. It still baffles me. I completely agree with you DSfan and also really like how the relationships are the side plot to the actual storyline. I tend to get bored easily when it’s only about relationships so this is a really nice balance. I find myself sometimes forgetting I am so curious about A’s identity because I get caught up in someone’s relationship. Do you think we will get some more hints in the next episode?
