I've got nothing...

What are your favorite seasons from the colored episodes of My Three Sons?
I would have to say my favorite seasons of the colored eps are the earliest ones, like from seasons 6-8. When they start adding Steve's new wife, and her daughter, that's when it really got annoying to me. And then Chip ends up getting married, which is really crazy! At least the earlier colored eps have some normalcy to them (Robbie gets married).

The best color seasons, were seasons 3 and 4,when they still lived in Bryant Park.I did NOT care for the California-based seasons, which was, from the start, handled badly-It would have been a lot more interesting if Robbie had "played the field"(in other words, gone out with other girls),instead of falling in love with, and marrying Katie the minute they got out there.(Yes,I have heard of "love at first sight).

Seasons 3 and 4 were in black & white...! (Those were the 1962-1963 and 1963-1964 seasons, when most series had not yet gone to color.)
There were color seasons in Bryant Park, as you've alluded to, but they began with Season 6 (Fall, 1965) -- which kicks off with Mike & Sally heading off for their honeymoon. |

I like all the color episdoes except for the last two seasons. Steve's stepdaughter Doddie was just annoying, and we seldom saw Robbie.
I agree it was much better when they were in Bryant Park. |

I think I'll go with Season 7 as my favorite, with unbelievably great guest appearances by Leslie Parrish, Sherry Jackson, and Yvonne Craig -- three of the all-time hottest women of TV! And there were still more hotties that season!

Hello All:
I agree with a previous poster that Dodie was annoying - precocious and irritating. Mostly consisting of silly lines like, "Man, Chip, Uncle Charlie's gonna clobber you"... Ever notice how they all great each other by saying, "Oh, hi..."..rarely just "hello" or "hi"... Ever notice the facade of the house shown in opening scenes is inconsistent with the layout of the inside of the house, as the inside opens directly against the wall on the left hand side. Barbara often mentions that they live in a "big house"....that house is not big, in my estimation...a very middle class ordinary house. Bryant Park house was nicest, as it seems roomier. In one episode where Steve and Barbara are dining at their favorite Italian restaurant, (Mama's lasagna palace), Steve calls Barbara "Beverly" (the actresses' real name). Just a few of my random thoughts.... |
