According to Facebook, "The Lucy Show" season four will be released on April 26, 2011; 22 years after Lucille Ball died.

This was on a reply to a question on the CBS Home Entertainment page when someone asked when season 4 would be out. This is, according to their Facebook page, when they have the date penciled in for next year. One month after season 4 of Here's Lucy comes out.

I'm happy that CBS and MPI are very much cooperative in helping to promote both series together......it just makes sense!

I agree as well. And I think that most of the people working on one series is also working on the other so it explains the time frame, delays, etc. As long as the high quality of the releases continue for both series, I will be happy.

I hope CBS includes some of Lucy's appearance on The Steve Lawrence Show from the same night that season 4 debut. That is the show where she had the outtakes from the dolphin tank, and overall is just a great variety show appearance that she makes. One of my favorite guest appearances she does. Plus her entrance with the marching band and "We love you, Lucy, oh yes we do" is just great 1960s TV!

I know things can change, but I find it positive thing that plans are being made into the future to pencil in release dates for the next season. Even if season sales continue to drop, Lucille Ball is still a name that sells even 21 years after her death.

Besides, with 2011 being Lucy's 100th birthday I think the promotion from that will be worth it for the companies to continue to release products. I have a feeling that within the next 12 months us Lucy fans will have a lot of great DVDs to purchase, not just her series, too.
