How odd that Dennis the Menace had a character named Theodore Mooney, and Gale Gordon who played the second Mr. Wilson, became Theodore Mooney on The Lucy Show in 1963!

There was also a character named Opie (played by Dub Taylor) and Ron Howard also appeared on the show and later became Opie Taylor

Did you actually ever hear them refer to Sgt. Mooney as Theodore Mooney? A few days ago, I was watching the episode, "Dennis' Documentary Film," and they specifically referred to him as HAROLD Mooney. But imdb.com gives the character's name in that episode as Theodore:

Unless someone can tell me there is actually an episode where he's called Theodore, I'm going with what he was called in "Dennis' Documentary Film": Harold. And I will assume imdb.com is wrong.

You know, I don't think I ever actually heard "Theodore" either. Harold seems most common, although in "Frog Jumping Contest" he was called "Ralph" Mooney.

Darn, I was just watching Frog Jumping Contest and I guess wasn't paying close enough attention because I didn't notice his first name mentioned. But if they called him Ralph in that episode, I guess they weren't paying much attention to what his name should be. Which leaves open the possibility of that he might have also been called Theodore at some point, but I'd like someone to be able to confirm that and tell us the episode because I've never heard it.
