With all the ads most commercial tv stations are showing these days,do you still even watch commercials?-- As for me, NO WAY,not anymore.

Nope. Anything I want to watch, besides live events, I record on my DVR and skip the commercials.

No, we DVR everything so we can avoid them.

I watch them, but I think the sponsors wouldn't like me as a consumer. Commercials only sometimes influence me to buy their product. I watch commercials mostly for their entertainment value, particularly the funny ones (for example, GEICO, PriceLine.com or Jack-in-the-box). I like the CapitalOne commercials too! They crack me up. "What's in Yoourrr Wallet"?
If a commercial makes me laugh, I can watch it countless times. |

Only during the Super Bowl. Most of today's Commercials are WAY too offensive, and many of them should not be shown at times when Children are watching. And don't get me started about the ones that will dominate the landscape between now and November 6.

I watch a show today and it seem 1/3 of the half hour program is commercials that just don't hold my attention. I swear 5 minutes solid for every 7 minutes is commercials compared to 35years when you had a 1 1/2 minutes top per every 7 minutes of show. Today most ads I see are for health stuff which make me think," I am going to using this item as I get older. Gone are the tons of toothpaste, shampoos, coffee, cereal I use to see as a child. I think cereal has been banned from ads for so much sugar in it.

I don't think I've watched anything that wasn't on tape or DVD Hard Drive since 1985. So the answer for me is no.

i will often watch the "OnDemand" channels and a few of them - mostly NBC and ABC have it set so that you HAVE to watch the commercials because they have disabled the FastForward - this I think does more harm than good; if I am watching a rerun of SNL, I probably am going to want to fast forward through much of the show, particularily the bad sketches and musical guests. - and the commercials you are FORCED to watch are usually for other HORRIBLE shows owned by the same network, like Tori and Dean on Oxygen, watching the 2 minute promo for that has ensured that I will NEVER watch a second of that show (not that I would have anyways).

I know what you mean robyrob.A few months ago my wife wanted to try watching some show,I think it was Pan Am, On Demand. They disabled the fast forward button,so we wound up not even watching it at all.--Who the heck do they think they are trying to force people into watching their advertisements! And I agree with you it probably chases alot of folks away from viewing the shows when they do that.

I've seen some pretty cute ones and some that are even kind of emotional, so yeah, I still watch them. Sometimes the commercials are better than the shows! LOL
