Default Conan O'Brien: which incarnation is your favorite?

So Conan has been on TBS for more than a month now (about 1/7th the amount of time he had at The Tonight Show). The new show has a decidedly more relaxed feel than the two that preceded it, and the two NBC shows were definitely unique from one another, as well.

Of Conan's three shows, which is your favorite? And why?

I'm more of a fan of Late Night, although I liked The Tonight Show, and didn't think it was too "watered down" like some others did. Just different.

However, I think that Conan was at his absolute best those final weeks of The Tonight Show. It was like punk rock. Quite frankly, the Conan/Jay debacle of 2010 gave the entire late night talk genre a much needed--if only temporary--shot of cortisone.

Conan is great (I've DVRed and enjoyed every episode), but just a little too rough around the edges, both in terms of its more relaxed feel and the technical aspects of the show. When I read that Conan was going to have the same budget as The Tonight Show, I was expecting something a little more grandiose - not unlike the look and feel of The Tonight Show, but with a Late Night edge.

I should also add that Joel Godard is missed from Late Night, and Max Weinberg is missed from both NBC shows.

Late Night - hands down. Not only because he was with Max Weinberg and Joel Goddard, but he had the crazy bits with Abe Vigoda. CLASSIC!!!

Cool

I think he was best on Late Night. His comedy is really suited for the 12:30 AM time slot. And I loved the skits he did with Abe Vigoda!
