Posts: 63,107	Why Do You Think The Cast Of 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' Weren't Typecast?!? They all had pretty successful careers after TMTMS went off the air. Why do you think that is? I look back to other sitcoms of the 60's & 70's and most were typecast and really didn't appear in anything else, while the cast of MTM continued to flourish years and years later.
