Lucy was a trailblazer in more ways than one - comedienne, businesswoman, mother, etc. She sure paved the way for other pregnancies (whether the actress was really pregnant or not) to be written into shows with no problem.

I love the scene in the nightclub where Ricky is asked to sing "We're Having a baby, My baby and me" and he walks around from table to table trying to figure out which couple is expecting. He finally gets to Lucy and she nods her head. And at that moment Ricky realizes that it is Lucy who is "enciente" and that he is going to be a father. Brilliant scene!

I cry every time I see that scene - one of the most touching in TV history. To top it off, those were real tears that Lucy and Desi were shedding - the on-and-off screen parents. That just made the scene all the more real and poignant.

I had forgotten that Lucy and Desi were expecting Desi Jr. at the same time Lucy And Ricky were expecting Little Ricky. Your right that does make this scene and this episode so much more poignant and the tears real.
