I've been lurking here for a long time, but last week I set up a UM series recording on my DVR. Rewatching all of the episodes inspired me to register and post.
I've been hooked on UM since I was three years old and my babysitter let me watch the Abominable Snowman episode. I didn't sleep for three days. I'm better equipped to handle it now, but still have to cover my eyes sometimes. ![]() I realized while watching this afternoon's episodes that my mom looks EXACTLY like Patricia Meehan. I'm going to be scared to be in the same room when I go home for the holidays! |

Be careful, Porcella. Nikki is our resident troll, with a strange obsession for Dorothy Wacker. You won't see her around here, much longer. It's only a matter of time before she gets banned, again.

I have no idea what's going on, but that episode about the three-wheeled car is terrifying. It really shouldn't be, but there was something about the way Robert Stack talked about her that creeped me out.

I'm constantly spotting actors or people on this show that remind me of people I know in real life. Thought I was the only one.
Roger Wheeler Sr. & Wanda Jean Mays look like one of my friends' father and mother respectively The actor who portrayed Dan Wilson reminds me of another friend of mine. Mikki Jo West resembles my grandmother when she was younger. and on and on it goes... |

Hi Porcella! I lurked for a while before posting too. I haven't noticed any similarities between people featured on the show and those I know in real life, so I feel safe... for now
I'm Heather, btw. I'm 24 and in Southern California. I've been watching the show since.... well, it's one of my first memories as a child. |

I am also new to UM. Wow, i'm amazed that there is a forum for the UM cases. I am 35, i've been watching Unsolved Mysteries at a very young age, amongst many of the shows here that i remember. I am one to look over a case and pick away at details and try to come up with the best possible scenerio. I see many of you are advanced on the episodes, great! So i will fit in well. I have posted a few of my personal experiences to share with the group and suggestions as to what i believe the outcome of some of these could be.
I can't say I know any of my family members that resemble any of the UM episodes ive seen, perhaps that would freak me out a little if they did haha. It is funny and some of you my age would agree, there was never any cool shows on tv when we were growing up besides UM and maybe a few others but as adults we have plenty such as cold case files, detectives, florensics, the list is endless. Besides UM i would read a lot as a child about unsolved cases and mystery so I will have a lot to add to this mixture of such a great group! The shows i watched growing up were: UM Twilight Zone Movies with vincent price Alfred Hitchcock presents Amazing stories Let's draw The Monkeys The Brady Bunch Leave it to Beaver Voltron Robotech Remington steel altho i dont know why Alice One day at a time Different Strokes Facts of Life Mash Cheers battlestar galatica buck rodgers and 21st century benny hill monthy python flying circus the list goes on...I'm glad to be aboard and well let me know about yourselves?
