Doesn't surprize me, as I imagine that's the only way anyone could find that stupid show funny.

"Family Guy" may surpass "The Simpsons" for being on so long...but then again...that may be "South Park"!

It's doubtful that will happen.
Family Guy is already running out of steam, while at this point the Simpson's had hit it's "stride."

South Park remains on the air for the same reason that Comedy Central shows 8-year old reruns of The Chappelle SHow: They have nothing else that gets the ratings (Stewart/Colbert excluded) that it does. South Park's limited creativity was used up many years ago.
