DC Comics’ Raven to Get Series on CW Network
With Smallville close to wrapping up its final season, the CW Network is preparing to give another DC Comics superhero her own series: Raven.
Created by Marv Wolvman and George Perez, Raven has been one of the staples of the Teen Titans/Titans comic book franchise since her debut in 1980. She also appeared in the Teen Titans animated series, and is currently part of the Teen Titans ongoing comic book series. Raven is a sorceress character who can teleport, and also has psionic empathy, allowing her to sense the feelings of others. She can also absorb the pain of others in order to heal them, and manifest her “soul self” through an astral projection. She is the daughter of a demon called Trigon. She often struggles to keep the darker elements of her personality in check. Diego Gutierrez, who recently served as a writer and producer on V, will be a writer and executive producer on the series. The show will be a joint production of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. http://www.primaryignition.com/2010/...on-cw-network/ |
