Drool "Bewitched" - 1964-1969 vs. the 1969-1972 seasons

In my opinion, the 1964-1969 black and white episodes and the color episodes with Dick York as Darrin, were slightly more adult and a lot funnier than the latter episodes (1969-1972)with Dick Sargent as Darrin, which,,were somewhat babyish(no fault of Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick Sargent).

Babyish isn't the word, they might have been more "family-hour" friendly, given that some of the plots involved Tabitha and Adam.

I guess the Dick York years could have been considered closer to being adult themed. Such as Darrin flirting with other women like Pleasure O'Rielly.

And in the Dick Sargent as Darrin years,as I said before,Serena's voice (especially later on in the Dick Sargent as Darrin years)was squeaky, childish, and very annoying. In the ones with Dick York as Darrin,as I also said before, her voice was sultry(at first)and sophisticated.

I like season one and two (in glorious black and white) the best. The other seasons however are good too (except for the last).

And,why,in the Dick York as Darrin years, was "Pandora Spocks"(really Elizabeth Montgomery)NOT credited as playing Serena, but in the Dick Sargent as Darrin years she was?

Montgomery might not have come up with the name yet.

And as I also mentioned before on another post, during the ABC network color run, they always opened with during the Dick York as Darrin years(and,I've heard, during the first year of the Dick Sargent as Darrin years)they had Elizabeth Montgomery coming on screen saying "Hi.Stay tuned for "Bewitched"-next,in color."But later on,in the Dick Sargent as Darrin years, she came on at the beginning and said "Hi.I'm Elizabeth Montgomery.Stay tuned for "Bewitched".Next-in color."Question:Why did they do the latter opening in the Dick Sargent as Darrin years, but not in the Dick York as Darrin color years?

I liked the first Darrin the best and the stories were really creative and fun .When the 2nd Darrin came on board the stories were recycled from seasons before and same ole clients at Darrins work.It was more kid related and silly boring stories .
So about the only great features of the the Dick Sargent years to me personally was the great mini skirts that Liz wore on set and the pantyhosed Serena.
Season 8 was just tragic imo.

I also did not like the 8th season. I bought seasons 1 - 7 on dvd but refuse to purchase season 8.
