New Blood Test Can Tell A Person's Age
By NBC Newschannel Published: December 01, 2010 Updated: December 01, 2010 - 7:25 AM » 0 Comments | Post a Comment vote nowBuzz up! Scientists in the Netherlands have come up with a blood test that can determine a person's age with one drop of blood. Scientists and criminal investigators say the blood test will be extremely useful to identify victims and trace criminals. The test can also work with dried bloodstains that are years old, according to The Guardian newspaper. Forensic investigators believe the test can lead to major breakthroughs in cold cases. The scientists use a characteristic of immune cells, known as T- cells, to calculate a person's age. |
