Hilary Swank Working on a Fashion Game Show for The CW
Hilary Swank Is Developing a Fashion Game Show for The CW
11/30/10 When Hilary Swank last did series TV, it was on the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" in the late nineties. So it seems appropriate that, two Oscars later, she's developing a new reality show for The CW, home of the rebooted "90210". Vulture has learned that her new project is a fashion-themed game show, which also seems appropriate because ... actually, we can't really think of a parallel, other than the fact that she's looked very nice on the awards shows' red carpets. While nobody at the network is speaking, industry insiders said the untitled series (currently known simply as the Untitled Hilary Swank Reality Project) will be a studio-based game show in which self-described fashion diehards will be tested on their knowledge of style and fashion, with one winning fashionista earning big prizes (couture Turtle Wax?). Swank — who has a production company with partner Molly Smith called 2S Films — is developing the CW project with Reveille, the studio behind "The Biggest Loser". It's still early in the development process; The CW hasn't even ordered a pilot yet. But with the network already home to the fashion-centric "America's Next Top Model" and "Gossip Girl", a fashion-forward game show might make a lot of sense as low-cost programming for the network during the summer months. http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment...on_realit.html |
