Welcome to another edition of Television VS where everyone here can vote on who have the best television season from different years and networks. This week the then and now rebuilding NBC with it 1983 slogan "Be There" will face against CBS with it 1984 slogan "We've Got The Touch". Due to NBC back in '83 not having any of it new fall shows renewed. So to make it harder or easier for everyone here are the following midseason NBC shows that became hits.

CBS 1984 for me, more of my favorites are there. NBC though had some great shows. 1983 was the beginning of their slow comeback, culminating the next year with Cosby, Miami Vice, etc.

A very toughie here:
Although NBC was still stumbling a tad bit, combined with the losses of their long-running shows in CHiPs, Qunicy, M.E., Taxi (was previously transplanted from ABC), Fame (though it returned in 1st-run syndication), Little House on the Prairie, and Love Sidney. It was during this season that it would lay the blueprint for the beginning of what would be their long comeback period 1 & 2 seasons later. For CBS, it was kind of a swan song season as they would lose a lot of shows by the end of the 1984-85 TV season such as: Alice, The Jeffersons, The Dukes of Hazzard, After M*A*S*H, Charles in Charge (though it returned in new life in 1st-run syndication), E/R, Cover-Up, and Dreams. It was also during this season that Magnum, P.I. would experience the 1st of several seasons of its pummeling by Cosby and Family Ties. They also would lose of their longest-running Saturday cartoons in The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner by the end of this season. The following year, Bugs and the Looney Tunes Gang would move back to ABC as The Bugs Bunny/Looney Tunes Comedy Hour. |

Probably CBS because they had Dallas, and this was when the show was still at its peak.
