Were reunited in the first season black and white episode with Sam the Parrot-a very funny episode,at that,because in the 1948 Warner Bros. Bugs Bunny cartoon "A Lad in His Lamp"the late Jim Backus was the voice of the genie in that one,and the late Mel Blanc was the voice of Bugs Bunny,who,with the genie's help,thwarted an evil villain.And in the "Gilligan's Island"episode,Jim Backus played Howell,and Mel Blanc was,although uncredited,was the voice of Sam the parrot.

By then Mel Blanc at Warners was relegated to unsuccessful and terrible Daffy as an insane Speedy Gonzales stalker!!!! Blanc and Jim Backus are also in another Bugs fairy tale spoof from the late 40s [both this and the above directed by Foghorn Leghorn/Tasmanian Devil crafter Robert McKimson,too often-in the shadow of Bob Clampett, Friz Freleng, Tex Avery, Chuck Jones and other when it comes to discussing and dissecting Warner Bros.cartoons in retrospectives], "Wind-Blown Hare"-where the Three Little Pigs butt in the Bugs world, and they, the wolf, and the Little Red Riding Hood story cross paths!-Jim's the evil wolf in that, who keeps forgetting things, only Mel Blanc's the wolf at about 2:50 or so [Blanc and apparently some one else is
playing the Brooklyn, New York-ese pigs, none of whom are Porky or Petunia!].
