Default Cunningham Hardware confusion

I did do a search and it didn't really answer my question but the thread was like 10 years old so I wanted to make a new one.

A few weeks ago, on youtube I watched the HD episode, Season 10, There's no business like no business.

Then the same season, 'Life is More Important Than Show Business' episode was on youtube as it was suggested by Marion that Howard had to close the Hardware store.

Then a season 11 episode, 'So How was Your Weekend?' when Marion and Joanie are going to see Mother Kelp and Howard is told to rush home. Howard tells them he didn't like having to leave the store and needed to go back since Potsie was doing the inventory with Howard.

Did Howard get a job at another hardware store where Potsie happens to be or does he still have his store?

I think the writers FAILED big time on that one.

If I remember correctly Howard did have to close his hardware store. But he got a job managing another hardware store that was part of a chain. I believe Marion talked Howard into hiring Potsie to work with him at the new store.

That makes sense. Thanks.

Not sure why Marion would talk Howard into hiring Potsie. LOL

IIRC (haven't seen the episode in a long time) Howard finds an empty local in another part of town and decides to move his hardware store there. At the end of the episode, Potsie goes to the Cunningham's house after hearing the news apparently and asks Howard when he can start (at the new store). Again this is just from what I remember from the episode.

That may have been that 'There's no business like no business' episode but it's still on youtube so I will check it out though.

EDIT: I hadn't seen most of the episodes in so long either.

that's precisely what happened

Howard had to close the original store because the big chain hardware store was opening up across the street from it, but by the end of the episode he found the new location to reopen his store. (but he still couldn't get away from Potsie.)
