SAW: A Hardcore Parody Release Party Attracts Mainstream Creator
Posted Nov 23rd, 2010 BEVERLY HILLS—Blue Circus Entertainment’s Saw: A Hardcore Parody is full of shocking twists and turns, but the tables were turned on the masterminds behind the film at the official release party last Friday at Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills. Jaws dropped when the event caught the attention of mainstream SAW franchise creator James Wan, who showed up give the film a nod and meet the man who parodied his creation. Girls & Corpses magazine was there to unveil the new fall issue with stunning cover model Andy San Dimas, and the cast and crew of Dick Chibbles’ Saw: A Hardcore Parody joined in to celebrate the movie’s second pressing after it sold out in record time. The excitement rose with the unexpected appearance of original SAW franchise creator James Wan, and director Mike Mendez amidst the crowd of scantily-clad beauties and top Adult industry players. A smile was seen on Wan’s face from the time he walked in the door to the end of the party when he left. “I was utterly shocked to see him walk in the door; it was an honor to meet James,” said director Dick Chibbles. “Then, to my surprise, he asked me for my autograph.” The cast and crew posed with Wan and Mendez for a number of photos up on the stage. http://business.avn.com/articles/Saw...or-418205.html |
