And I do NOT mean drive-through restaraunts,I mean actual drive-ins.And how about dive in-theaters?Anyone remember them as they were popular in the 1950's,1960's,1970's?

Oops!I meant drive-in theaters.Not dive-in-theaters.

There are a lot of drive-thru fast food places out here.
If you meant drive-in restaurants, with car-hops, the Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake has that every Friday and Saturday night.

Sadly, no more drive-in movies in the valley. I did take some photos of the one in Chatsworth before it was demolished.

Yup, we had a drive in movie theater in a nearby town.

I remember our whole family went to see "A Hard Days Night", which came out in '64... I don't know if it was 64 or 65 when we saw it there.

Went there a few times in high school as well.

It closed in the early 90s. That was the last remaining drive-in left in the state, although another drive in opened up c. 2004

We never had a drive-in theater here but we had two drive-in restaurants back in the 70's. An A&W and a Dog&Suds.

Drive-in movie theaters are not gone completely, but there aren't as many around today as there were many years ago.

Upstate NY has a few around, the last time I was at one was around 2001.

My sister went upstate this past summer and saw Vampires Suck at the drive-in.

I remember mom and dad taking me and my brother to a drive-in theater in Azusa, CA. I remember a play area for us kids and the snack stand. Sometimes us kids were in our pj's because we would most likely fall asleep before the movie ended. This was back in the 60's.

really? I always thought that they dissapered sometime in the 80s.

There's still a drive-in movie theater in my area - about a 15-20 minute drive from my home.

I remember the drive-ins and they were fun....BUT DVDs in the privacy of my home (for a song - or free from the library) are even better!

Of course!

There was one called Memphis Drive-Thru...but it closed 5 years ago so that American Greetings can expand.

And for Drive-in Restaurant, there's one called Swenson's.

Next Summer, when I get a car I'm going to find another Drive-in and go to Swenson's!

We have 1 drive in theater here but the problem is that the screen is horrible since it is old, it needs a new screen

We had 2 in our city but both closed down in the 80's. That's where I first got to see all those old westerns of Clint Eastwood.

I did exactly the same thing. Except it was in the San Fernando Valley. The Victory Drive-In and a few others.

Yes, there was a sandbox with a swing set. I remember my parents pulling up into the driveway and carrying us (myself and two brothers) into the house because we were already sleeping.
