Angry DWTS: TV Watcher GETS SO MAD

About the decision of "Dancing With the Stars"to drop Brandy and leave in Bristol Palin,in the competition, that he takes a shotgun and aims it right at his TV set,and shoots it,leading to a SWAT standoff. This is 100% true. What do think about this?

Oh No Wisconsin Viewer “Kills” TV After “Dancing With The Stars” Episode

Link

Bubba shot the jukebox in the country western tune by ??, but a man in Wisconsin took out his frustration on a TV set and blasted it with his shotgun after watching Sara Palin on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Steven Cowan, a 67-year-old local citizen, held off SWAT teams all night after “killing” his television and threatening to shoot his wife. He was arrested the next morning and charged with reckless endangerment, with bail set at $1,500.

His wife, Janice, explained that her spouse has a bipolar psychological condition and has made threats before. She explained that early that evening, they had been watching the “Dancing with the Stars” program and when her husband saw Palin he went berserk.

When he returned, he was carrying his shotgun and blew up the TV. She went on to tell investigators that her husband told her that political figures shouldn’t be on the program and that Palin didn’t have any talent.

After shooting the TV, he told her he was going to kill himself and ordered her to go get his pistols. Instead, she left the house and called both the police and a lawyer.

Janice told police that it wasn’t the first time her husband had made similar threats to her and himself. Fifteen years prior he told her he was going to cut her with a machete after he found he didn’t have ammunition for one of his guns, and also threatened to shoot a cow.

Steven is under medical care with a mental health provider and has been under a lot of stress due to money problems. Phone calls to his number were not answered.

“Dancing with the Stars” viewers have speculated on how Palin, daughter of Tea Party member and 2008 vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, got on the popular reality program. Some have suggested political supporters of her mother are the ones voting to keep her on the show.

Oh No

Does anyone else think there is something wrong with a man with a known mental health condition (bipolar disease) being allowed to own firearms? Seems this whole incident could have been avoided if this man had been denied a firearms permit in the first place due to his condition.

There was a misprint in the article-The daughter's name is Bristol, not Sara.I wonder if anyone else caught the misprint.

This is what happens when you add Palin Derangement Syndrome with mental illness. Reminds me of the guy who blew his head off when Bush won re-election in 2004.

Could have just as easily been me, if I had a shotgun by my easychair, and oh had a screw or two loose!

Not really. My closest friends who find turning off a TV complicated. LOL. J/K. That woman was wise to call a lawyer and then the police. I hope she gets out of the marriage. I thought he was being loyal but wow! A bipolar disorder? Amazing.
