Default Extras in Season Three Box Set

Apart from "Lucy at the World's fair does anyone have any idea of what other extras are included in the season three box set? Any new interviews possibly?

I'd like to know too. My guess is that there will be a dvd review on this site soon.

Is it just me or does it feel like they keep stuff like this under wraps these days...for what, I don't know. You would think they would want to promote the extras. So far, we have one featurette we know is included. Maybe that's it.

I remember the days when tvshowsondvd.com used to report every single little thing. It's not their fault but it seems like they aren't getting a whole lot of info from the studios anymore. Technology sure has made people lazy. Now you can, literally, send info over in seconds and still info isn't announced. We just might have to wait until we have it in our hands to find out.

Cool

According to tvshowsondvd.com besides the "Lucy at the World's Fair" featurette, the set will also include cast commercials and other features. Of course they don't say what those other features are!

The other features would probably be the stuff that was on the first two releases-- short descriptions of guest stars, outakes, production notes and photo gallaries. I think if there were any more interviews, they would have announced them, although didn't they keep the "Let's talk to Carole Cook" segment under wraps until the last minute on the Complete Season 2? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I saw the back cover on DVD Empire, and besides Lucy at the World's Fair, there are clips from the Danny Kaye Show, and Rare International promos and Film clips. Everything else are the normal production notes, vintage openings, etc. I don't know if I'm just getting paranoid, but it seems to me that the amount of bonus features is getting smaller with each release. At least we know that they'll always have the same things that were on the ILL releases.

Well, it looks like no Candy Moore or Ralph Hart.

No one was holding back on bonus material for season 3. There just wasn't much to choose from. The cast had stopped doing commercials by this time. The only cast commercial used in season 3 was one that was re-used from season 2. There was no General Foods Opening night special that year, no segment with Lucy on a CBS fall preview special, or anything like that. As with any show that's 3 years old, the network had stopped promoting it so much. As for Ralph and Candy, believe me they were approached, but for whatever reason chose not to participate.
The producer's made an extra effort to work with the Danny kaye estate to get clips from that show, but trust me when I say that the World's Fair documentary is worth the "price of admission" alone. A solid thirty minutes of never-before-seen Lucy footage. A lot of work went into this, believe me!

I got my copy! And I must say it is really wonderful to have the First 3 Seasons out on dvd. Looking forward to Season 4 next year. These sets have been beautifully produced. The cover-art is quite striking for Season 3. Love the orange background.

Got my copy in the mail today. I just saw the first episode with the roller skates...hilarious! I agree about the orange background. I think it is my favorite art cover then Season 2.

My copy is on its way from Amazon. I opted for the free shipment, so it may be as much as a week before I receive it. I just checked Amazon. As of midnight here on the East Coast, as we're now rolling into December 1, the season 3 set is ranked 898 for all movie and TV show sales on Amazon, and ranked #80 for movie and TV comedy boxed sets. I'm not sure how good that is, or how it compares to the previous releases.

I watched the first four episodes and I haven't laughed like that in a long time!
