missing episodes on DVDs... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I am looking for examples of shows that were released on DVD (full season sets) and yet somehow some episodes of the season are missing from the DVDS.

I noticed on "The Facts Of Life: Seasons 1 & 2" set that the last 3 episodes of the season "Free spirit", "pretty babies" and "brian and sylvia" are missing from the DVD. They are not listed on the episode list that comes with the dvd at all; and yet every major review i've read about the dvd says those episodes are present.

So what gives?
