Why Is Taylor Momsen So Miserable? She Blames Her Parents

After reports of her poor attitude on the set of "Gossip Girl", Taylor Momsen says she's not the one to blame for her bad behavior. Her parents are!

"Everyone's like, 'Wow, why is she upset, and why is she so miserable about things?'" the 17-year-old actress told Revolver magazine. "My parents signed me up with Ford [Modeling] at the age of 2. No 2-year-old wants to be working, but I had no choice.

My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn't have friends. I was working constantly and I didn't have a real life."

Reports of her questionable behavior had been circling since last season — and at the same time, her character, Jenny Humphrey, was shipped to New Jersey to live with her mom.

Momsen has appeared in just two episodes so far this season.

Even guest star Tim Gunn has spoken publicly about his problems working with the actress.

"What a diva!" the "Project Runway" star told E! News. "She was pathetic, she couldn't remember her lines, and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself 'why are we all being held hostage by this brat?"

Gunn also said he wasn't alone in his frustration.

"I'd just ask her 'Do you want to share with me why you're always on your phone?' At one point the director leaned in and whispered to me, 'This is day in, day out, my life.' She annoyed the entire crew."

Aside from her "Gossip Girl" job, Momsen has been keeping busy with her rock band, The Pretty Reckless. They released their first album in U.K., Ireland and Australia earlier this year.
