Default I Love Lucy As A Cartoon

Hey, I was just on youtube.com and I just found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp2XRav6SWE and I got to wondering.

What if they tried to make a cartoon version of the show but, using the actual episodes themselves and making a cartoon version of them? It looked like in that video I linked to somebody tried to make a cartoon version of the Scottland episode but in color.

What do you think the show would be like in a cartoon form but, in black and white and not in color? Do you think it would be possible to make a cartoon or animated version ILL but still in black and white? Maybe they could air the cartoon version on cartoon network.

Also, I was wondering how do they do that? Where they take a episode and turn it into a cartoon version based on the actuall episode? Do you think it would be easier then colorizing or remaking the show? I mean your still using the actuall show but in a cartoon form. Please let me know your ideas. Thanks.

that wasnt really a cartoon. thats just a "negative" effect put on it. But i think that is a very good idea of making a cartoon. I think it would be better in color though. And not played on cartoon network, cuz alot of the jokes on ILL, only early teenagers like me, and adults would understand. And not many early teenagers like myself and adults watch cartoon network. But it is a good idea. I wouldnt mind seeing I Love Lucy as a cartoon.

The only thing about 'I Love Lucy' being a cartoon is not being able to see everybody's funny facial expressions.

Slightly off-topic but I LOVE LUCY was very successful as a comic book and a newspaper comic strip during the 1950's. Back in the early 90s a comic book publisher printed the old daily funnies in several volumes of comic books and they were great, the drawing of Lucy was particularly good. I don't have the old vintage ILL comics, they're very pricey for the most part.

There is an actual animated cartoon based on an episode of Lucille Ball's
earlier radio program, My Favorite Husband. I saw it on Mark Evanier's
website. It's on YouTube. Someone took the soundtrack
and added drawings to it (in full color). It's really quite good.

Below is the article and the link ..

Here's an amazing effort. Animation director Chuck Jones used to dismiss TV cartoons as "illustrated radio." Well, this is illustrated radio. A fellow named Wayne Wilson took the 1949 Christmas episode of the radio show, My Favorite Husband starring Lucille Ball and used it as the soundtrack for this cartoon. It runs a little over 25 minutes and it's up on YouTube in three parts. I've configured a window below which should play them one after the other. If you don't feel like watching the whole thing, jump to the start of Part Three when the great Frank Nelson (subject of this article I wrote) puts in an appearance. Nicely done, indeed...
