Bob Newhart to Guest-Star on "NCIS" As Medical Examiner
Nov 11, 2010 by Adam Bryant TV vet Bob Newhart has booked a guest-starring role on "NCIS", a rep for the show confirms to TVGuide.com. Newhart, 81, will play Dr. Walter Magnus, an eccentric-but-charming medical examiner who comes out of retirement to help the NCIS team, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news.
