Miranda Cosgrove has upset music fans in Arizona after cancelling a concert on Tuesday due to a "scheduling conflict" - only to tweet about dining out at a restaurant when she was meant to be onstage.

The iCarly star was due to perform at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, but scrapped the show citing conflicts in her busy schedule.

However, she raised suspicions about the legitimacy of her excuse on Tuesday night when she posted a message on Twitter.com, suggesting she had simply blown off the appearance.

Cosgrove wrote: "Sitting in my favorite French restaurant after 4 hours of French with my tutor."

The singer/actress has since removed the posting.

Maybe something happened with her schedual at the last minute. Miranda seems too nice of a kid just blow off her fans. I think there's something deeper to the story.

I'm watching an interview Miranda did with Jimmel Kimmel on YouTube now that was made last year. She says she sucks at French. School work comes first for her, aparently, which is great.
