Default Bristol Still on DWTS????????!!!!!!!

I think Sarah Palin pulled some strings for Bristol to be safe yet another week. She's outlasted Florence Henderson, Audrina Patridge and Rick Fox, and now Kurt Warner. She should have been gone before all these people.

I suspect she is getting a lot of sympathy votes because of what she has had to put up with from Levi Johnson.

That could be. She's really not that great of a dancer and should have left weeks ago.

Either that or she's getting the "tea party" vote!

I think Bristol dances just as well as most of the other dancers. She's also very pretty. What's not to like, unless the Palin Derangement Syndrome is passed on to her daughter. If her mother wasn't Sarah Palin, I doubt anyone would be complaining.

I can't speak for anyone else, but it has nothing to do with politics to me. I've watched the majority of the seasons of DWTS and I've seen the good and the bad. Bristol is far from the worst dancers the show has had, but she's also far from the best. I thought she started out the season well but for whatever reason got progressively worse. She's nowhere near the same level as Jennifer Grey or Brandy. If she ends up making to the finale, good for her, but I predict one of the other two ladies will take it.

Wouldn't that be something if Bristol Palin was the winner this season of "DWTS"(Dancing With the Stars)? If that was to happen(and it might, who knows)a lot of people would be shocked.Oh,by the way,how long has "DWTS"been on the air?

It started mid-2005.

The issue isn't that Bristol is still on, but that she shouldn't have been even considered for DWTS in the first place.

Unless I a have been living in a cave, when did Bristol become a star?

I wondered the same thing when I heard she was going to be on the show.

I don't really have an issue with Bristol being on the show. Dancing with the "Stars" is just a title. There have been several people over the seasons who I would not consider stars--Kate Gosselin for example. If you're in the public eye for any reason, you can pretty much be considered for the show. While Bristol may not be a great dancer, she's a ton better than Kate. She was just a trainwreck and had a sour look on her face every week.

Can you believe Bristol is in the finals? I was voting for Maks and Brandy. I didn't warch the show last night because I felt Brandy was going.

Maybe DWTS should change the way the voting is. Judges get 75%, fans 25%. I don't know, but it is a shame to see good dancers leave and the not so good stay.

It's a fun show to watch, I especially love watching Maks, Tony and Louie.

What happened last night, was just WRONG! Bristol Palin should not have beat out the exceptional Brandy. OK, Bristol deserves credit for never dancing or performing before, and great improvement, but seriously, look at all the talented contestants she beat out. The show is becoming a popularity contest, not just for Bristol, but for her mom.

Can you imagine if she actually took home the Mirror Ball Trophy -- (Which she just might do, at this point)? That would completely destroy the credibility of the whole show. I for one would never watch the show again! The only reason I'm watching now is because of Jennifer Grey.

I would advise the producers of DWTS, in the future, exclude politicians or potential political candidates and their families. It seems to me Bristol's getting the "Tea Party" vote. Politics should not be part of DWTS. I really think in the long run, this could damage the show, completely!

The show has always been a popularity contest, unfortunately. It's a shame when a subpar performer makes it far on a reality show but it's nothing new. There's no way Brandy should have left last night. She's been one of the best dancers all season and earned a spot in the finale.

Though, eliminating politics from the show isn't going to help. There's always someone who's popular and can't dance, but their fan base always gets them through. With that logic, you'd have to eliminate sports stars as well. If anything, they should change the voting percentages, like ponytail suggested.

Yes, I know "popularity" is a factor of the voting process, but why should sports stars be excluded, anymore than musicians or actors. I don't know of anyone that made to the finals on the tails of a parents' celebrity in the political arena. You can't see that it would be outrageous if Bristol Palin is holding that trophy next Tuesday???!!!!

By the way, most of the DWTS champs in the history of the show, with the exception of Donny Osmond, I never heard of before they were on the show. Their talent must have had something to do with their win!
