Scream Trilogy Retrospective in the Works

Figured I'd chime in on the news circulating around the web.

Yes, indeed, a feature-length Scream retrospective is in the works, joining the ranks of Halloween: 25 Years Later, His Name Was Jason and The Psycho Legacy.





Producer Anthony Masi and myself (working as writer-director) have been well underway on this project for a number of months now, with the blessing of Bob Weinstein and Wes Craven, exploring the Scream trilogy and examining how it changed the face of horror in the late-'90s.

Everyone's on board so far and we've got a ton of interviews banked.







The retrospective will also feature a fictional tie-in that's to be filmed in Los Angeles later this month and will include:

- rare archival footage
- never-before-seen photos
- new on-set stories
- and will reveal the entire success of Scream from its inception right up to the new movie



The plan is to release the doc. to coincide with Scream 4, in theaters April 15.






Can't really say much more than that but I assure you, this is going to rock.
