Selena Gomez records new Disney theme song

Selena Gomez has recorded the theme song for a new Disney Channel show.

The program, called Shake It Up, stars actress Bella Thorne, who worked alongside Gomez on the channel's Wizards of Waverley Place sitcom.

Thorne told Just Jared: "It's so great, I actually worked on Wizards of Waverly Place [with Selena] and it's so cool that she's a part of our show."

Her co-star Zendaya Coleman added: "It’s great that we have another Disney star singing for us. She's a great singer and so sweet."

The 'Round and Round' star recently admitted that filming the final episodes of her own show will be "emotional".

I remember reading somewhere that she was bummed out when the studio was finished shoooting the third season, and Jennifer Stone tried to cheer her up. The best you can say about having her sing the theme to another sitcom, even if she's not involved in any other way, is that Disney/It's a Laugh Productions is keeping her employed.
