Font Question - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

What is the name of the lettering font used in the Gilligan's Island logo, as well as the opening titles and the writing and directing credits in the first season? I've seen that style in various magazine and newspaper ads as well on other things. I call it the "Gilligan" font.

I've seen it on other things too, but usually on something beach-related or tropical, so I think it was originally made up for the GI credits. Shows like Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Munsters, Care Bears, Will & Grace, etc all have fonts that are closely identified with their shows.
