The second "Castle" tie-in novel, Naked Heat, was released on Sept. 28, 2010.
It made #7 on the New York Times Hardcover Fiction bestsellers list by Oct. 17th. Just like the first novel, Heat Wave, Nathan Fillion is not the author of the book. The actual writer is unknown with the fictional author Richard Castle getting the credit. News Link - http://www.wetpaint.com/castle/artic...stsellers-list |

...but he portrays one on TV. And the two novels published so far reflect his character of "Richard Castle". One day soon, we'll know who the "ghost author" behind these novels really is {are?}...as for now- why spoil the illusion?
When "Jessica Fletcher" [Angela Lansbury's character] of "MURDER SHE WROTE" began writing real paperback novels inspired by her TV series, she often shared a by-line with the real author. That worked for her, but it wouldn't in "Richard Castle's" case....
