Default Merrython on TV Land

Who's watching? There are some really good old Christmas shows being aired! I have been watching all day.

I have!!!!!
I'm watching Love Boat right now!!!!
So far the best ep has to be either Barney Miller or Facts of Life or New Dick Van Dyke or regular Dick Van Dyke!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for next year to see the new lineups!!

I must say this Merry-thon is quite awesome. Not only do I get to see Christmas shows of series I like (Dick Van Dyke, Facts of Life, Mary Tyler Moore, etc.), but see shows I've never seen for the first time (Father Knows Best, New Dick Van Dyke, Donna Reed, etc.) It's great!

First of all, this was my first time seeing "The New Dick Van Dyke Show", "Father Knows Best", "Operation Petticoat", and "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries", and they were all great! "Father Knows Best" really isn't all that 'perfect 50s' as most people have said. I liked both episodes a lot. (BTW, Why Wasn't there any opening credits for the second episode, "The Angels Sweater"?) Also, 'New Dick Van Dyke' was just awesome, I loved the Joe & Mary reference!

Yeah.....New Dick Van Dyke Show is a comic genius of a show!!!
You should have Goodlife they had an episode on Friday about Dick hosting a telethon and his sister Mike was singing this song about how she loves her boyfriend or something like that. That was the most hilarious song I ever heard!!!!!!
Until yesterday I never knew "Operation Petticoat" was a sitcom!!!!!
I also liked the "Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew" episode.
My favorite segments from the Love Boat ep has to be 'Divorce Me,Please'
I also love the part in the original DVD where everybody is singing "Alan Bra-a-ady" and they start saying their own names instead!!!And at the end when Rose Marie gets everybody to 'da da' te theme song!!!
And how come they don't start the Merry-thon a little later around like.......8:00 central and skimp on the repeats because I never saw the MTM or BN Christmas episodes!!!(except for Christmas and the Hard Luck Kid)
I'm preparing to watch my first episode of "Just the 10 of Us".
And I positivly cannot wait till they show the two Hazel episodes!!!!
Good bless TVLAND!!!!!!!!
NICK-AT-NITE SMELLS LIKE EXPIRED CHOCOLATE MILK!!!!

I've seen three episodes of "Just the Ten of Us", it's pretty good. I tihnk TV Land should show the following every day:

"Mork & Mindy" (78-82)
"The Donna Reed Show" (58-66)
"Father Knows Best" (54-60)
"Dennis the Menace" (59-63)
"Hazel" (61-66)
"The Addams Family" (64-66)
"That Girl" (66-71)

If they do, I'll be happy

I think it's wonderful! I'm taping ALL of the shows I have never seen except for Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. I think that all of the shows are great. (I've yet to watch Operation: Petticoat). I thought that the New Dick Van Dyke Show was hilarious and it disappoints me that it did so poorly in the ratings. I thought Father Knows Best was even BETTER! The first episode shown was played so much like a movie, it was so cool.

I loved "Dennis the Menace"! JAY NORTH was great in it! Too bad he launched so much negative media against it in the late 80s. He even helped Nick take it off their schedule. Hopefully "Father Knows Best" & "The Donna Reed Show" will come to TV Land like they were supposed to in October.

I think TV Land should show these sitcoms regulary:
"The Lucy Show" (1962-1968)
"Three's Company" (1977-1984)
"The Addams Family" (1964-1966)
"Mork and Mindy" (1978-1982)
"Dennis the Menace" (1959-1963)
"Mister Ed" (1961-1966)
and "Here's Lucy" (1968-1974) if that is possible

If they show them regulary, I'll be a happy man!
