They had good chemistry at times, but I don't think they would have been too believable as a couple. Laverne wouldn't have been able to tolerate his nonsense for too long.

Lenny truly did like Laverne & would've done anything for her. Plus, he was a different person without Squiggy around, proving he really was a nice guy.

Ah, but then, once an L/L-shipper, always an L/L-shipper, I suppose.
