WBShop.com is releasing Classic TV Christmas Collection on Nov. 9 featuring 10 series: Veronica's Closet, Perfect Strangers, Alice, Welcome Back Kotter, Mama's Family, Dr. Kildare, Courtship of Eddie's Father, Suddenly Susan, Eight is Enough & CHiPs. A Christmas episode of each will be on the DVD.

Well, it's better than nothing.

I remember this episode for the part when Tommy finds the letter from their late mother in the kitchen cupboard, and all the kids crying on the staircase as he reads it aloud.

I think I will buy this. The Alice and Mama's Family episodes will be a nice bonus too.

Sounds like it'll be a great DVD...I'll buy it! But GOD how I wish someone someplace would put the entire series of EIE on DVD (are you listening Shout!?--you've been so wonderful abt making other series see the light of day how 'bout EIE!).

I'd buy the entire EIE in a nannosecond-I just adore the show.

I read somewhere that the hold-up is not with the rights issues with Tom Braden's book but the fact that the episodes themselves have badly deteriorated andneed total restoration. WB wants to make sure they will get a good return on their investment if they spend the cash to clean them up.
