Good news about my recovery!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I went to see the orthopedic doctor this morning and he was very pleased with the way the knee is healing. The flexibility and motion is coming back, in no small part due to the excercises I have to do twice a day. But I don't have to wear the Q-brace aka knee sleeve around the house anymore, even to sleep. I DO have to keep wearing it when I'm driving and at places other than home. With winter, snow, and ice in the not too distant future, I'm especially supposed to keep the brace on then. We don't want to take any chances.

In the meantime, I am now doing more complex physical therapy excercises. I posted these on the "post your photo" thread yesterday, so just click on the link and scroll all the way down and you can see me doing these new excercises.

Thank you, everyone!! I still have a ways to go before complete recovery comes...but I try to take it a day at a time and trust God to make me well. It's not always easy because I still battle feelings of guilt and shame because the accident was technically my fault and I ended up totalling my brother's car. Tell the truth, that hurts more than the physical injury.

Good to hear congratulations! Don't beat yourself up I'm sure your Brother would want you here and alive which is the important thing. A car is a material thing that won't last anyway.
