...provided some of the "rough edges" and "kinks" are smoothed out. As for the ladies themselves, I defy you to tell me the difference between them, and the women on "THE VIEW".
I remember when CBS, after they gave up trying to compete with "THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON", tried to "challenge" their other competitor, ABC's "NIGHTLINE", with its own nightly half-hour late night newscast, "AMERICA TONIGHT", in the 1990-'91 season. There was room for only ONE late-night network news show, however, and CBS' version (featuring Charles Kuralt as anchor, with Lesley Stahl, Dan Rather, Robert Krulwich, and Edie Magnus as contributors) ended after 26 weeks. I see a similar fate for "THE TALK" if it doesn't find its own identity....and fast.

Okay, out of morbid curiousity, I decided to watch "The Talk" this afternoon, and I'll just say that Julie Chen hosting notwithstanding, it is much more watchable than "The View" is right now, because the other hosts (especially Sara Gilbert) are actually likeable to me, and they did not get political and scream over every little thing in the episode that I saw. Oh, and Jennifer Lopez being today's guest also helped as well.
Anyway, I'd probably watch about once a month, which is more than I can say about "The View" right now.

Does Julie Chen seriously end the show by saying "it's always a good time for 'The Talk'"? Haha... might wanna rethink that, or sell those final words to a Dr. Phil episode!
=D I tuned in for the last twenty minutes this afternoon, and they couldn't have picked a cast with less chemistry and charisma. Awful... plain awful. And that's coming from a fan of Sara Gilbert and Leah Remini... |

i watch it, being a fan of all the ladies. Leah Remini is hysterical. I'm more relatable to her, to boot.
