Lol Rub-A-Dub-Dub, A Girl In The Tub

I was skimming Season Seven episodes last night and in "Mary's Insomnia" (which isn't this one of your top favorite episodes, Kristen?) there is a scene where Mary's in the bathtub and Lou gets Fred the Landlord? to open Mary's door and finds out he couldn't reach her b/c she had her phone off the hook. Well, she's in the bathroom taking a bath, lol.

And this scene probably had the most laughs than many of the other episodes. Esp since ALL THREE men end up seeing Mary in her tub! haha First Lou, then Murray and then Ted waltzes in! *ROTFL*

Ted didn't seem to care that Mary was in the tub, let alone really pay much attention. Lou's reaction right now is hard to put in words, lol. She was there trying to tell him she's in the tub, and with NO CLOTHES ON! haha And he's just ramblin' away...

Murray is probably the only one (imo) who reacted the "proper" way.
He comes rushing in, sees her in the bath and is like, "Oh my.." and then immediately turns and puts his head on the opposite wall!

I love it when Murray announces his presence from the living room and Mary loudly exclaims, "Oh My G--." *giggles*

Then Lou shouts, "We're in here!"

An EXTREMELY comical scene.

I just watched that episode. I rented Season 7 from Netflix. That episode is so funny.

Cool

This reminds me of the classic TDVDS episode "Never Bathe on Saturday" in which Laura Petrie gets her big toe stuck in bathtub waterspout. Of course by the time we actually get to see Laura in this episode the water has been drained from the bathtub and she is wearing a raincoat. It seems Mary Tyler Moore does some of her best work in the bathtub!!!

Yeah, I don't think I could say enough about this ep. The bathtub scene alone is pure comic gold. And I bet the guys (Esp. Ed) had fun doing it, too. My copy of S7 hasn't arrived just yet, but when it does, I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing it again!

Sounds like a blast. Wish I had the ep. Mary must have turned scarlet!

And the part where Lou gets Murray and Ted to come into his office (he goes out into the newsroom and is like, "SHHHH!") because Mary has fallen asleep. Her left arm is hanging by her side and her head is resting on her right hand.

It's *so* cute/sweet to see the guys watching her sleep!

Yeah, esp. at the end, when Mary begins snoring. hehe! Love that moment, too.

They always have to have a comical moment during a sweet or dramatic moment... especially in a comedy.

When Ted came into the bathroom saw Lou and asked, "Is that the only seat you have?"

Ted's glasses fell into the bathtub, and when he was going to reach in and get them, Mary said, 'DON'T...YOU...DARE!!!'
