Question What do you think???

Do you think if Dana Plato just went on figure skating she would still be with us? Seems like she might. Child star actors/actresses seem to get into a lot of trouble with drugs? Please post your thoughts.

P.S. I'm new to these boards

First of, hi! Welcome aboard! I look forward seeing you here on the boards.

Now, to answer your question, I do think Dana would be still here if she went on figure skating. On the Family on Ice ep., she was so good at it, it even surprised me. She and Dorthy Hamill make a cool team. Dorthy by the way, was awesome. But I think if Dana had something to fall back on besides acting, she might be still alive today. But she did have a poor upbringing, and success does have it's ups and downs. However, it would be in her hands of how she would deal with it. All in all, she had so many talents. I wish she could have also went to a ballet school. So she could teach ballet or dance professionally or she could have been a broadway choreographer, and the list goes on. Plus with a face like that, in my mind, she could have also been a high profile super model. Bottom line, she had the potential to do so much. Wish I was around her so I could have encouraged her....

Sad

No, I don't think Dana would be alive today if she had been a figure skater. It's hard to explain. If she hadn't overdosed she could have had a heart attack or been killed in a car wreck that day. I think it was just Dana's time to go home.God gives us so much time on this earth. When that time is up, It's up. A man tried suicide by setting himself & on fire & lived. The doctors said he ahould have died from the pain, he didn't because it wasn't his time. A pefectly fit & healthy woman dropped dead from a heart attack which doctors said there were no signs. It was her time to go. When people are murdered God knew it was going to happen, that might be when he wanted them. When people commit sucide it might not be when he wanted them, then again it could have been the day he wanted them so maybe they would have died another way. My message to everyone Enjoy Life, because if you are worried & scared about dying you can't live. So just live & let God take care of you.

I was going to say yes to this question, but after reading your response I'm going to change my answer to no. It was just her time to go.

Agreed and thank you for posting that; it must have took some courage to do so.

Take care,
Tanya.
