Default whatever happened to theme songs?

You wouldn't find many theme songs in today's sitcoms. And definitely not long ones, like FH's "Everywhere you look", Family Matters' "As days go by", Perfect strangers' "Nothing's gonna stop me now" and many more.
Why is that? Are theme songs considered old? Do opening tunes instead of opening songs make the show better?
And why many sitcoms today don't have an opening at all? Is it taking too much time? Is there not enough content in the eps?

I don't think so...!
So why don't you bring back the theme songs to sitcoms!

I agree wholeheartedly. If you hear the FH theme, you immediately think of the sitcom. Whithout this, I think, a sitcom kind of loses a little bit of memorability. It's not like there aren't many possibilities for a theme, I think it's just that sitcom creators have lost track of the importance of one.

Which current shows are you referring to? All the shows I can think of right now have a theme song, Friends, Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Felicity, Charmed, etc

Just wondering, cause most shows that I can think of right now all have theme songs.

I'm sure rial1 means "Fras(z?)ier", "Seinfeld", etc.. Speaking of Seinfeld, I wish it didn't end.
