ABC 1988

There are a TON of great comedies on that lineup! NBC was good too, but I liked ABC's comedies more than those on NBC.

ABC 1988 for me too.

I was a big fan of Cheers and Night Court on NBC, but overall there were more "must see" shows for me from the '88 ABC lineup: Head of the Class, Just the Ten of Us, Perfect Strangers, Who's the Boss, Moonlighting, and Monday Night Football.

Those were both strong lineups. From NBC '84 there were fine shows that I should have been watching like Remington Steele, but I was in college then and wasn't watching as much TV as I did later in '88.

I vote for NBC 1984. More of my favorites are on that schedule. Also that was the year of their big (totally unexpected at the time) comeback led by The Cosby Show.

This one is an extremely close call here!

ABC was virtually tied with NBC for #1 network in 1988, which is ironically the same season Roseanne debuted with a #2 rating in the Nielsens, behind its sister Carsey-Werner show The Cosby Show on rival NBC.

NBC 1984 began the beginning of NBC's comback period and many of their shows were very great shows.

I thought NBC in 88 won in every single night.

Wait, I stand corrected.

It was in '89 ABC nearly tied NBC.

Wrong again, it was 1990-91 TV season.

NBC 12.7, ABC 12.5, CBS 12.3
