The game shows that start out celebrity-contestant and then become ALL celebrity(cases in point:ABC's version of "Password"became the disasterous ABC"Password All Stars",(thank goodness it went back to celeb-contestant towards the end of its'run)"Double Talk"became "Celebrity Double Talk",and "Whew!"became "Celebrity Whew!".My answer is NO.

I liked game shows as a kid, whether they had celebrities or not.....in the case of "Whew!"--totally unnecessary and also I think in the case of "Hot Potato" too.

Another show to change to an all-celebrity format was "Bullseye", becoming "Celebrity Bullseye." The questions were all multiple choice and the game became much slower because the celebrities kept asking host Jim Lange to repeat the three choices to a question.

The all-celeb novelty wears thin after a while, especially on shows where you need a brain. I think even Mark Goodson admitted Password All Stars was a mistake. Other shows like Bullseye, Millionaire and The Weakest Link suffered ratings deline when they stretched out the all celeb format.

And apparantly,no one liked the "Wheel of Fortune"episodes that had celebrity-themed weeks like "Soap Opera Week",because they have NOT had them for the past 2 or 3 years. Also,I've heard that Pat Sajak himself when he was a guest host on "Live With Regis and Kelly" a few years ago,he said something to the effect that he wasn't a fan of those weeks. So,in conclusion, obviously "Wheel of Fortune"learned its' lesson. And what I DON'T understand is WHY almost every other week of the daytime version of "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?"has been celebrity weeks.Oh,by the way,has the daytime version of "Don't Forget the Lyrics",had all celebrity weeks?

I like celebrity Jeopardy and they're smart enough not to do it too often. I also liked All Star Family Feud when TV Show casts would play against each other.
