I'm not going to vote in this poll because I like the music from the 60's and 70's because of one man, Elvis.

I loved the mid 19050s early 1960s, but 1961 was my favorite. "Rick is 21" album was full of great hit songs for Rick Nelson. He also snag bass with The Fleas and The Trophies then.

Of those listed, I picked 1963. But my favorite years would be 1954-1963, with 1958 and 1959 being my top two choices.

I picked 1972 in which the Four Tops left Motown for their last album before heading to ABC's subsidiary, Dunhill records called "Nature Planned It". Smokey Robinson left the Miracles that same year to launch his solo career. Their last album with the Miracles called "Flying High Together". And finally, Motown left Detroit also that same year to make a move to the west coast known as Los Angeles.
