Default The Hub - Launches 10/10/10, Happy Days, Family Ties, L&S, Batman Join

These four series join the already previously announced series Doogier Howser and The Wonder Years. http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2010/0...appy-days.html

As a reminder, The Hub is replacing Discovery Kids. So if you have that network, you'll have The Hub come 10/10/10.

This really is great news, and it looks like The Hub will be the best network for 2010! It's too bad they aren't doing the night-type stuff 24 hours a day (we have enough kids channels as it is), but I won't be greedy. All of these shows that have been off the air for too long - Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Family Ties, Wonder Years, Doogie Howser, Batman....hopefully Family Ties does well because it didn't do great on Nick at Nite, TV Land, or its 2-week run on Hallmark. I just hope they don't sell out and go to newer shows after a little while.

It's funny they don't mention the classic shows on their website. Maybe they're going to launch a separate site for the evening/nighttime block? I wonder if it will be branded differently?

October will be a great classic TV month - The Hub launching plus Jeannie and Bewitched on TV Land (and Good Times/Jeffersons in the afternoon)! And I get it on cable where I am now! Hallmark can have their Martha.

I missed Hallmark but The Hub will more than make up for it. I agree, let Hallmark have Martha!

It's a possibility because they're going to have a block in the daytime called Hub Bub to show preschool programming and it has it's own site http://hubbub.com/. So maybe it could be called something like Family Hub.

None of those shows are listed on the Hub's main website, so I bet the evening will be done differently. Thanks for the link!

I wouldn't mind seeing Home Improvement on this channel eventually since Viacom doesn't seem too interested in it. It would be an awesome fit.

I think Who's The Boss? would be a good fit for the night line-up. I'm only saying because we all know that Hallmark won't keep it on forever and you never know when they decide it's time to pull thing off.

This network will only be good if they don't chop up the shows and don't squeese the closing credits in a corner, or speed them up over the closing scene.

I'm just hoping the strategy sticks. All too often, we get a new channel that relies on classic programming until they can grow the brand (ie original programming0 and then away goes the good stuff. These are shows that are not being exploited elsewhere and have not been seen in a while, so here's hoping for its success.

I was looking through my zap2it tv listings & here is the evening schedule for weekdays.

It looks like they are starting the shows from the beginning of season 1.

All times are central time.

7:00 PM Family Ties
7:30 PM Family Ties
8:00 PM The Wonder Years
8:30 PM Doogie Howser, M.D.
9:00 PM Happy Days
9:30 PM Happy Days
10:00 PM Laverne & Shirley
10:30 PM Batman
11:00 PM Transformers
11:30 PM G.I. Joe A Real

Family Ties through Batman repeat at 1am-5am central time.
