Do they cut it out when a contestant sometimes uses a foul word or leave it in?The reason I ask,is because last Thursday on the daytime version of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader"?,I could have sworn that the female contestant (who did NOT win)used a four letter very foul word beginning with the letter S.Have you known any other instances of this happening? And when did they begin the disclaimer "A portion of the show not affecting the outcome of the game has been edited ".?It must have been during the 1970's,and 1980's,because I don't remember any 1960's game shows having such a disclaimer.Just curious.

Oops!I stand corrected .It was on Wednesday's show,NOT Thursday's show,because on Thursday's show some woman won $160,000.

Usually after a show is taped before it goes on the air, it's edited for time and language as well as any mistakes that occur.

If it's just one bad word, they'll probably bleep it. Simple enough.

I wouldn't call "damn" a REAL bad word, but on today's "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire",after the commercial,Meredith said the word "damn".The contestant said the same thing, off camera, and before the start after the commercials.
