Hey, I've wondering this for a little while. When CBS did the editing on the original film negatives did they do that on every episode or just some of them?
Because last night I started watching my DVD's again and I was trying to picture what the episodes looked like on TV years ago before they got butchered up by Halmark. Do the DVD's mention every edit they made to the show in the bonus features and where they had restored them or just some of them? Because I'd watch the episodes themselves and I'd go into the bonus features and watch the restored footage segments to see what that episode looked like in Syndication with the edits before they restored them. I'm currently watching the first season and it looks like there where originally edits done on 3 episodes on disk 1, edits on all episodes on disk 2 and 1 edit on a disk three episode which is "Lucy Fakes Illness" which was later restored. So, do the dvds mention all the edits done to the show or just some of them? I know in season 4 there are 4 episodes that are still in their edited form but, they have the missing footage in the bonus features. Please let me know. Thanks. |
