I'll be 32 in October, so yes, I remember 1980's toys.

I had Swift Heart (light blue) rabbit (a Carebear cousin).
I had a Rubix Cube.
Twister, Trouble, Sorry, SkipBo, Uno, Monopoly, Yahtzee, etc.
I had Barbies. Barbie even had her own McDonald's. Yes, that's where she and Ken worked!
I had light bright (where you put the little pegs in the box thing and they made a pattern that you designed in whatever color pegs you chose.
I had twin cabbage patch dolls. Both had blonde hair.
I had a purple (of course) Popple.
I also had a (can't think of the name) pink doll that had a tall that had a brush at the end of it. One paw smelled like perfume and the other paw had a mirror on it. I gave that to my niece who is now 12. I'm glad she still has it even though she doesn't play with it anymore.
My brother and I had Legos. My mother used to hate stepping on them. I don't know how many of those the vacuum clearner ate.
I had Play-Doh and Silly Putty
Etch-a-sketch

I know it's not a toy, but I remember having a pair of purple velcro shoes when I was little. They were cool.
