Selena Gomez Confirms That Season 4 Will Be The Last For 'Wizards Of Waverly Place'

Selena Gomez has predicted that filming the final episode of Wizards Of Waverly Place will be "emotional".

The actress, who stars as Alex Russo in the Disney series, recently confirmed that the show's upcoming fourth season would be its last.

"I'm currently in the middle of shooting season four but it is really hard, I think it will be extremely emotional," she told MTV News.

"I don't think they will have a live audience taping on the last episode on my request! I will be a wreck, it will be really hard. Every day I go on set and see these people I have been with for the past four years and it really breaks my heart. It's been so much fun, it's been like my high school in a way."

The 18-year-old was also asked whether she felt ready to move on from the show, to which she replied: "I keep saying everyday that I'm not ready but I think when the last episode hits we will all be like, 'It's time'. It will be good to move on."

Gomez and her band The Scene release sophomore album A Year Without Rain tomorrow.
